Erick Wales - Missing since April 19th
Erick used to work with my brother. My brother would sometimes ask him to help with computer problems. He became a friend. He has visited the house many times and played poker with us at our tournaments. Very recently he came over to the house and helped my brother move some files fro man old broken hard drive. Afterwards the three of us went and grabbed some dinner. He was his normal talkative self. He definitely did not seem out of sorts in any way. He disappeared a week or so later and no one has seen him since.

The Pacific
The Pacific
If you don't have HBO, be sure to grab the DVD set when it comes out. It's a ten part mini-series done by the same crew that put together "Band of Brothers". EP Tom Hanks, Spielberg directs.
Another shockingly graphic look at war told by the people who lived it. Instant Emmy.

We all have a weakness
But some of ours are easy to identify.
Look me in the eye
And ask for forgiveness;
We'll make a pact to never speak that word again
Yes you are my friend.
We all have something that digs at us,
At least we dig each other
So when weakness turns my ego up
I know you'll count on the me from yesterday
If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me
Sing this song
Remind me that we'll always have each other
When everything else is gone.
We all have a sickness
That cleverly attaches and multiplies
No matter how we try.
We all have someone that digs at us,
At least we dig each other
So when sickness turns my ego up
I know you'll act as a clever medicine.
If I turn into another
Dig me up from under what is covering
The better part of me.
Sing this song!
Remind me that we'll always have each other
When everything else is gone.
Oh each other....
When everything
Else is gone.

May 2010
I will be trying this hypertrophy experiment during the month of May. It's time. I have shrunk down to 152 lbs.
For me this is just about adding healthy weight and feeling a bit better, not about looking good in a bathing suit. So, I will stop well short of becoming muscle-bound. I don't have any desire for that kind of body. After the initial hypertrophy it becomes time-consuming to maintain, and the decrease in flexibility would be no good for tennis.
